Camille Kokozaki Announces Candidacy for District 40May 4, 2004 - Camille Kokozaki announced today that he is running for the Georgia State Senate in District 40, which spans western Gwinnett and northern DeKalb counties.Kokozaki is the President of Democracy4all LLC, an information and data services company for political campaigns, and the President of OceanStream LLC, a design consulting and business services company. He has 23 years of experience in high technology, has held various design and managerial functions, and was formerly director of marketing at a leading global consumer and chip manufacturing company."How can Gwinnett and DeKalb grow without losing the character that has drawn so many of us to call the district home?" Kokozaki asks. "How can we create a future filled with opportunities for our children and local entrepreneurs?" Kokozaki's campaign will respond to three critical needs of his district's citizens -- smart growth, education, and small business development -- with innovative answers and a practical passion for getting things done.Kokozaki was a member of the Georgia for Dean steering committee and is currently a board member of Georgia for Democracy, a 501 c(4) non-profit focused on voter empowerment, issue advocacy and community development. He has also supported the Gwinnett and Georgia Democrats in various fundraising and voter outreach efforts. Camille is 48 years old, married and is the proud father of two teen-age children. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University.
